Are you concerned about the fuel efficiency of your car?

All governments across the globe have realized the significance of fuel economy. As an initial step, concrete guidelines are being established for fuel efficiency regulation in future. European Union in 2012 stated that their diesel cars and gasoline cars must attain minimum 52 and 47 mpg ratings respectively. It is found that even now, certain nations produce vehicles which don’t meet the environmental standards. But they are taxed more as a penalty, which does not help the environment in anyway, and if this practice continues more such cars will be added to the detriment of the environment.

Engineers are working to develop new methods to   help boost fuel efficiency. Lighter vehicles are appreciated to keep these standards and help with increasing issues of fuel economy. The production of hybrid cars is a good solution to provide better fuel economy as they combine electrical and fuel options. Fuel efficiency is essential to save money. On implementing special measures, you protect the environment too. There are few tips to increase or optimize the fuel efficiency of your car.

Proper car maintenance and servicing can ensure an optimal consumption of fuel. You must check regularly for right tire pressure, fluid levels and replacement of parts which wear down. It is always better to implement a policy of no idling. Never waste fuel by keeping engine in purring state with air conditioner turned on. Always drive smoothly to maintain steady speeds, and reduce the effect of start and stop using brakes lightly. You must discourage speeding at every instance. Certain smart phones have certain applications to track and enhance fuel efficiencies; and even notify traffic issues and find routes.

Fuel prices are rising by the year and it has now become order of the day, which we cannot help it. Finding methods to lower fuel consumption helps maintain our budget tactically. Certain modifications in the driving style can help you save dollars on your fuel bills. The main key to driving for fuel efficiency is in your hands only. Mostly air filters keep dirt and damage the engine. They clog up over the time and reduce fuel efficiency of the engine. Replace them in time to reduce fuel consumption on an average ten percent, which also protects your car engine.

Avoid driving the car at lower gears. When you drive in the right gear,     engine consumes lesser fuel with great efficiency. You may ease up on acceleration pedal once car attains momentum. Do avoid sharp acceleration and braking to save fuel. Using air conditioner increases fuel consumption by eight percent particularly in old cars. High speed gives higher wind resistance against car; this will consume more fuel. Driving at speed of 110 km/h implies increase of fuel consumption by thirty percent. If tire pressure is less by just a small amount, say 0.1 psi, it will increase fuel consumption by three percent. It is recommended to inflate the tires once a week. Make it as a habit!

Always use the right oil for your car. You may check the manual of the manufacturer in order to find the correct oil viscosity for engine. Change it for every 5000 to 8000 kilometres. It is advisable to avoid additional weight in your car. Every additional forty five kilograms of weight will increase fuel consumption by approximately 1-2 percent. You may use ventilation system of car rather than opening windows. Keep the fuel level above quarter tank all the time. Never drive on an empty fuel tank. It is best to stop the engine in case car is held in the traffic for a long period.

You may begin to apply these tips from today itself, and see the difference in fuel consumption of your car. Regular and protective car service and smart driving will help maintain the cost of fuel down. This will also help in avoiding costly repairs on your car.

Japanese used vehicle is good fuel efficiency.  It is the good time to purchase your new car.

Drive safely! And be happy always.

The Benefit Of Having A Back Camera In Your Car

The fast growing technology has now brought about a vast change in the market of automobile industry. Many features which earlier were possible with the high end models have now become the necessary factors of all vehicles.  The back camera is one of such a feature that was reserved to be fitted to the high end models.  Now every car is having such a feature.  The purpose of having such a feature is not any more a luxury feature.  It is an essential part of the vehicle and it assists the driver in a lot of ways.

  • The driver can easily back up the car with convenience and without much effort. There are times when the drivers of big vehicles always needed some person to guide when he is backing up the car.  But with the installation of such cameras, he is able to do the job without any personal assistant.  The camera itself is the assistant to the driver.
  • This kind of assistance is also very helpful to the driver in getting out of a rough spot when stuck up in a traffic jam. He is able to slowly manoeuvre through the traffic by looking into the rear mirror and judge the space available for his car or van to move across.
  • We find that a lot of accidents happen when the driver is backing up the car even in the parking spaces.  There is a possibility of a pet or a child who is playing nearby to be run over when the car is backing up.  Many casualties have happened in the past due to such instances.  The driver is unable to see the smaller thing on the back of the car and these accidents happen.  The back camera is useful to detect such small objects that come in the way of the backing car and help the driver to control the car immediately.
  • The back camera may not come with every model of the car. But it is a wise investment to do.  When buying such a back camera we should be careful in the way we choose one.  The camera should be able to give us the correct image of the reverse.  The distinguishing factors also should be very clear.  There are some cameras which only show some visible image; but the image is not very clear as the driver will not be able to discern between a living and non-living thing.  So also we should be able to find out that quality of camera which is able to help the driver during the evening hours when the visibility outside is not very clear.  That means the driver should be able to make out the objects in the dark also. Then such an investment is worth making.
  • The other component of the camera is the screen on which it displays the object.  The screen is also equally important.  If the size of the object is not clearly noticed, it does not serve the purpose.  The need for larger screen has also brought the car researchers to come to a solution which is so very comfortable.  The manufacturers of some screens have provided lines on the screen which enable the driver to clearly assess the distance of the object from the car precisely.  Some of the recent advances in this area are amazing.  The screens also have colour codes.  The green colour on the screen indicates that the driver can have some more space to move the car backwards, whereas the red lines on the screen indicate that the driver should stop on the spot. There is no available space to move any further.  Some of the other improvements in this area also guide the driver as he steers the steering wheel which then turns the lines and indicates exactly the position as he is moving the vehicle.

Some of the cars also have the most advanced features of having different cameras mounted in such a manner that the driver is able to assess the vehicle from all the four sides. This does sound a bit complicated but is also something which is very helpful to the driver. Some of the cars come with single camera but with various angles to it.  This also helps in the driver in the similar manner

Compact Sedan an Executive Choice-Nissan Primera

NISSAN PRIMERA is a compact sedan produced by the Japanese automaker Nissan. The name “primera” is a Spanish word and stands for “finest” and “first class”. Ever since its launch in the 1990, Nissan Primera has been recognized as a car which is affordable, reliable and very comfortable!

Since its launch in the 1990, Primera has gone through many changes. The first Primera brought into the market was P10 range and it came in six levels: L, LS, LSX, ZX, GS and GSX. The 1.6 engine of this range was available in L, LS, LSX range while 2.0 engine was available in ZX, GS AND GSX range.

P11- the second generation Nissan Primera was launched in late 1995. Unique in its style, it featured multi-link front suspension with multi-link beam rear suspension. P12 – Nissan’s third generation car was launched in December 2001 and the face lifted car of 2004 was highly appreciated due to its overhauled cabin, extra equipment and suspension that was slightly recalibrated. With all the features, Primera are sure makes a tempting proposition.

The nissan primera review brings out the following interesting points:

LOOKS - The Nissan Primera cars have a distinctive look, a mid-sized family car that has been in the market since a long time, still it never offer an old fashioned look.

LOOKS INSIDE - The instrument binnacle that is deep-set, multimedia screen, collection of touch-sensitive buttons below creates high tech look for Primera without making it appear too overblown. It looks inviting enough with decent seats and a build quality that we’d expect from the Japanese brand.

PRACTICALITY - Nissan holds ace up its sleeves here, because it doesn’t matter the model you buy, there is abundance of luggage capacity on offer. The Primera offers a space of wonderful 1,990 litres. However, the space provided to rear seat passengers isn’t good enough and a sharply sloping roofline to the rear means that the passengers that are tall don’t get that much space as they should.

RIDE AND HANDLING - Primera is a car that is pretty dynamic and competent. The ride in it is more on the comfortable side than being razor sharp handling, but this is not a car to entice hard core enthusiasts anyway. Nissan’s engineers have taken the right focus when it comes to car’s ride and handling balance

PERFORMANCE - Nissan Primera has a broad range of engines united with standard 5 and 6 speed manual transmissions and even a voluntary CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission). Lift mechanisms and Variable valve timing provides greater performance and lower emissions. The top speed provided by a Primera is 124 mph or 200km/hr.

RUNNING COSTS - Primera offers very low running costs due to the great insurance levels and efficient engines. This ensures plenty of power and torque without much visits to the fuel pumps. The 2 litre burns fuel at rate of 30mpg,1.8 litre petrol unit consumes fuel at 40mpg and the 2.2dCi unit gives 50mpg all day when on a run.

RELIABILITY - The Nissan Primera review claims them to be highly reliable and trouble free over tens of thousands of miles. However, some problems related to failed crankshaft censors and failure of timing chain and tensional are a cause of worry.

SAFETY - The Primera scores impressively in Euro NCAP’s crash tests. It got a four star overall rating. Thanks to its stiff body shell and a great number of safety gears being fitted in all models. Anti-lock brakes, air bags, electronic brake force distribution, three point seat belts and active head restraints are few examples.

EQUIPMENTS - Even the cheapest Primera contains an alarm, remote central locking, CD player and electronic windows in the front. We move a level up and cruise control, alloy wheels, a CD auto-changer and cruise control are some of the features that are added to it.

FUEL CONSUMPTION - The fuel consumption of a Primera in city is 11.9l/100km, in a highway is 6.9l/100km and combined is 8.7l/100km.

With over all evaluation, the above review shows that there are very few good reasons to avoid it. It is a well equipped, reliable, affordable, practical, quick and safe car by all means. It is unique in its own way and is an attractive family car!
